Adding Filters

Each Material can have an unlimited number of filters.

Filters allows you to add fields with preset values. For example, a filter called Status could define whether a Project or Task is open or closed.

On items listing page you can filter the listing using the filter values. On reports you can use filter values to sort information.

Filter Options

  • Default Sorting
    Listing will be sorted using this field.
  • Common Filter
    You can create a Filter that can be used for more than one Material.
  • Allow filter items in listing
    If you set this option then you can filter items in listing using this Filter.
  • Display in Comments
    If you set this option then the Filter will be displayed on the Comment form. This allows you to update its Value as part of adding a Comment.

Filter Value Options

  • Default
    This Value will be selected by default when adding an item for a Material.
  • Default Filter
    Items in the Material listing will be filtered by this Filter Value
  • Background
    Use this background color when items in the listing have this Filter Value
  • Sort Order
    Control the order of the Filter Values

User List filters are a special Filter. Once we add it to a Material, it means we can configure user access to Material and Material's items. Also users will get email notification if we assign user to an item.
